Adolphus "Shoobie" Randle

December 22, 1941 — December 16, 2017

Adolphus “Randy” Randle, “Shoobie” “Doc” of Mechanicsville, MD was called to his heavenly home on December 16, 2017 at the age of 75. Born in Shreveport, LA one of two sons to Jimmie Lee and Lionel Randle. Randy grew up in Orange, TX. He attended and graduated from Wallace High School, Class of 1960. He immediately went into the US Air Force where he began a decorative and meritorious career. His career took him to Korea, Vietnam and Tai Pei Taiwan twice. His awards area too many to mention so the most notorious were he Vietnam Service Medal Award with Three Bronze Service Stars and the Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge. He was honorably discharged after almost 28 years of service to his country. He completed his career and retired from Andrews Air Force Base (AAFB). He then continued life as a civilian with another position at the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) as an Investigation Liaison officer and Vice President of the local Union for the INS DC Chapter for the next 10 years. He met Cora Lee Garner while attending a class at Bolling AFB and they married on November 22, 1985. They had just celebrated 32 years of marriage. Randy was also known as “Shoobie” or “Doc” to many. His infectious spirit and enthusiasm for life created a magnetic presence in any room he walked into. Randy made each person lucky enough to meet him, feel valued, heard and special in a way few others could. He was the life of the party. Randy was such an outgoing man who traveled widely and adventurously. Another passion was that he loved cooking on the grill, always trying new ways to perfect his BBQ. Cookouts were always enjoyable and no one ever left hungry. Randy’s new mission now takes him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing, dancing, and talking to his heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. The food there is delicious! He has left his wife and children here to celebrate his mission by celebrating his life. Beloved husband of Cora Lee Randle; devoted father of Dawson Randle (Cora Jr.) of San Antonio, TX, Crystal Mushonga of Arlington, TX and Cynthia Gaskin (Dewayne McBride) of Medford, NJ; dear brother of Calvin Kenneth Randle of Orange, TX; loving grandfather of Brittani Roberson (Jammel), Chaniq Randle and Ronnie Callahan.
