She had a beautiful alto voice, singing at her piano, in church, and traveling in a quartet with Richard, his wife Doris, and Donald Tazelaar. She even sang on the radio. Her yard was always full of children, fruit trees, flowers, and vegetables which she canned for the off season. She was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, no matter if it was taking care of children to fixing a leaky roof. Dorothy Brock was extremely loved and will truly be missed by all.
