Mary Elaine Taylor

Mary “Elaine”, “Mimi”, “Aunt Elaine”, “Mother” (Gherardi) Taylor passed away January 21, 2018. She was born May 25, 1928, to Elenora and Albert Gherardi, Sr. in Barre, Vermont. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald (“Dude”) Taylor; Parents Elenora and Albert Gherardi, Sr.; Sisters-in-Law Ruth Morrison and Harmie Morrison; Brothers-in-law John Buttura, Norman Watson, Aut Morrison, and Ray Taylor. She is survived by her sisters Rina Watson and Dorothy Buttura, brother Albert Gherardi, Jr. (Marge); daughters Lynda (Michael) Tushar and Debra (Peter) Aksenczuk; sons Daniel and Scott (Donna) Taylor; grandchildren Erin, Grant, Nick, and Shaina; great-grandchildren Megan, Allison and Luke; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and, extended family members and friends in Vermont, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. She especially enjoyed her family and extended family. She embraced being a mother and especially enjoyed time with children. She liked to travel and experienced many places. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. She will be missed. Burial service will be at the Hope Cemetery in Barre, Vermont at a later date.
