Annette Timmons

Annette B. Timmons departed this life on Sunday, May 17, 2020 in the MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, Maryland. Born July 16, 1948 in Camden, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Brevard, Sr. and the late Bessie Williams Brevard. A sister—Elizabeth Brevard Autrey and two brothers—Ernest Brevard, Sr. and Willie J. Alexander predeceased her. Annette is a graduate of Jackson High School, Camden, South Carolina. A graduate of Winston Salem State University, Winston Salem, North Carolina, Annette received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1971. She received a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Georgetown University in 1982. A Registered Nurse, Annette was employed at DC General Hospital, Washington, DC from 1972 – 2001. During her stay at DC General Hospital, she served in the positions of Staff Nurse, Nurse Specialist and Nurse Manager in NICU/Nursery and Nurse Recruiter. She served as an clinical instructor at HMI Regency School, Washington, DC in 1996 and 1999. Annette worked as a School Nurse in the Washington, DC School System from 2002 – 2019. Those left to cherish her memories are a brother, Eddie (Harriett) Brevard, Jr., of Camden, South Carolina; a sister, Willie Brevard, of Norwalk, Connecticut; sister-in-law – Margaret Alexander; nieces, nephews, host of other relatives and close friends. In light of the necessary precautions for community health, interment will be private and no visitation will be held.
