David Charles Stokes Jr

January 10, 1984 — October 13, 2021

David (Bee) was born on 1/10/1984 to Bonita and David Stokes Sr. He is preceded in death by his Paternal and Maternal Grandparents. He is survived by his parents David and Bonita Stokes, his Aunt and Uncle, Rose and Phil Laub and his cousins Cara, Matt and Dana Laub; Dana whom he called Baby Dana even into their adult life, along with numerous other cousins. Bee loved his job as an Application Specialist at Motorola Solutions, but loved his work family even more. He was also a member at Westlake Volunteer Fire Department, Co 12 for many years and will be deeply missed by so many. David loved his family and his Cat (Girl) and was kind to everyone. He will always be remembered for his contagious laughter and his ability to make others laugh. Bee could always fix any electronic device and could put any gadget/toy together faster than everyone else could even read the instructions. If someone was sad, Bee was there to make them smile. If someone was in need of laughter, Bee was the one to bring it to them. If someone was cold or hungry, Bee would give them a meal and the shirt off his back. Bee was one of the most genuine, kind hearted, empathetic, selfless people you will ever meet and we were beyond blessed to have had him in our lives for the past 37 years. Be. Like. Bee. Contributions can he made to https://childrensnational.org/ Memorial services will be at a later date. From Mother and Father, "A mighty wind blew night and day. It stole the oak tree's leaves away, Then Snapped its boughs and pulled its bark Until the oak was tired and stark. But still the oak tree held its ground While other trees fell all around. The weary wind gave up and spoke, 'How can you still be standing, Oak?' The oak tree said 'I know that you can break each branch of mine in two, Carry every leaf away, Shake my limbs, and make me sway. But I have roots stretched in the earth, Growing stronger since my birth. You'll never touch them, for you see, They are the deepest park of me. Until today I wasn't sure Of just how much I could endure. But now I've found, with thanks to you, I'm stronger than I ever knew...'
