Diana Watkins Bell October 25, 1948 – September 17, 2021 Diana died peacefully surrounded by her beloved husband, adoring daughters, and eldest granddaughters in Nashville, Tennessee on September 17, 2021 at the age of 72. Diana was born on October 25, 1948 to Charles Edward Watkins and Irene Mae Watkins in Meadville, PA. She graduated from Slippery Rock University and began teaching 5th grade in Waynesboro, PA. It was there that she met her husband of 46 years, Franklin Arthur Bell, Jr; they married in a gazebo on a beautiful but hot day on July 25, 1975. Diana obtained her Master’s degree in Counseling, and she helped countless people for over two decades through her work as a program manager and director at Psychotherapeutic Rehabilitation Services in Maryland, as a counselor for the Military and Family Life Counseling Program, and as a child and adult therapist in her own practice. Frank and Diana welcomed three beautiful daughters to their family – Andrea Bell Baddour (Mazen), Kimberly Bell Ruffer (Eric), and Corine Bell Crowley (Kevin). Diana and Frank were then blessed with six granddaughters and a grandson. Mimi’s tribe included: Julia Evelyn Baddour, Olivia Rose Baddour, Claudia Ann Baddour, Ashley Mae Crowley, Ava Quinn Ruffer, Vanessa Rae Crowley, and Lucas Eric Ruffer. She lived happily with her family in Dunkirk, MD for 28 years. Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Edward Watkins and Irene Mae Watkins, and by her sister Christy Elaine Watkins. She is survived by her husband Franklin Arthur Bell, Jr., her brother, Charles Edward Watkins II, her sister, Linda Irene Kite, her three daughters (Andrea, Kimberly, and Corine), grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Diana’s legacies include her unconditional love, playful warmth, and unwavering loyalty to her family. Her dependable humor, adventurous spirit, and colorful style always warmed and cheered those lucky enough to know her. The devotion, family values, compassion, and integrity she instilled in her daughters and grandchildren will live on for generations to come. She will be cherished always.
