Dora Ann Warren

Dora Ann Warren, 87, of Sunderland, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in the comfort of her home after a long illness, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Dora was born in Bolivar, TN to Berdie Iona [Doyle] and Benjamin Vaughan on September 3, 1934. She married Stanley Warren on December 27, 1952. Before starting a family, she diligently worked as an event planner and a legal secretary for ten years in Washington, DC. After raising her children, she helped build the family business with her husband Stanley. Her passions were her children and grandchildren, baking spectacularly decorated cakes and making ceramics. She also enjoyed spending time with loved ones at her river house in Hartfield, VA. Dora is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stanley M. “Joe” Warren, and her siblings Wilbur Lee “Buddy” Vaughan, Mary Virginia “Sis” Goins and Lillie Mae Byrd. Dora is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Karen Beall (James); her son, David Warren (Susan); her seven grandchildren - J. Dustin Beall (Amanda), Jessica Goad (Brent), Michelle Belt (Eric), Brian Warren, Meghan Lohr (Zachary), Mandie Myers (Nicholas), and Wesley Warren; as well as twelve great-grandchildren. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews. Family invites friends to Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Thursday, October 7th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm; with Funeral Services on Friday, October 8th at 10:00 am.
