Dot Moran

Dorothy Justine Moran, beloved Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021. She was 90 years old. Dorothy, known to family and friends as "Dot" will be remembered for her gentle and selfless spirit. Born July 25, 1930 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, Dot was the youngest child of the late John and Pauline Wotovitch, and Sister to the late John, Helen, and Michael. Dot married Patrick H. Moran in 1949 and they raised their children in Washington, D.C. and in Maryland. Dot is survived by her children Kathryn, James, Kevin and Vincent; five Grandchildren; Elizabeth, Meghan, Erin, Mia and Eileen; and seven Great-Grandchildren; Ellis, Jane, Eben, Paige, Amos, Rudy, and Colin. The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of The Assumption 14908 Main Street, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623 on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 1:45 PM.
