Deceased Name: Ernest Robert Birckhead passed away on January 4, 2021. Born June 4, 1925 in the District of Columbia to Russell Robert Birckhead and Margaret Estelle “Daisy” Blundon Birckhead. Ernie was the youngest child and is the last to pass on to meet up with his family in eternal heaven. Ernie was a WWII Veteran, he served in Italy, went over on a liberty ship. In 1989 he joined the Masons and served 3 times as Worshipful Master at Camp Springs Lodge. In 1990 joined the OES and served a total of four times as Worthy Patron (2 w/ Unity #112, 2 w/ Grace #21). Ernie loved spending time with family - his Children, Grand Children, Great Grand Children. Ernie loved to sing - he had a wonderful voice and was a soloist in his church choir for years. He also loved to cook, ride horseback, watch western movies, and read about history - specifically the civil war. The beloved husband of Judith Birckhead. Ernie is survived by John M. Birckhead (son) and wife Cathy; Lynda Birckhead (daughter); Jennifer B. King (granddaughter) and husband Walter and their two sons; Kathy Tindell (niece); Kathy Nokes (niece) and Wendy Langford (grandniece); Cheryl Heath (stepdaughter) and husband Bob; Ryland Pine (stepson) and wife Rita; Trestan Pine (stepson), Marcie Cossa (stepdaughter) and husband Tony; 6 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
