Felix Sylvester Adams III

October 10, 1990 — October 16, 2021

Felix Sylvester Adams III was born to Ava Constance Hagood and Felix Sylvester Adams Jr. on October 10th, 1990, at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Maryland. He is the first of three children born to his mother, Shannon Adams 29, and Jackson Hagood 18. He was the father to two beautiful little girls, Niylah Adams 6 and Ivy Adams 5. As a child, Felix was full of energy and seemed to gravitate towards adventure and opportunities that fueled the things that he was passionate about. Around the age of 5, Felix was so enamored by the garbage men who rode freely on the backs of garbage trucks. Fully convinced this was his calling, he asked his mother for a yellow garbage truck and began his trash man endeavor, taking his yellow truck to any and every function. He took full responsibility for collecting everyone’s disposables. Every day he watched the window at home to see the large trucks and waved to the men hanging off the back. Growing up, what empowered him most was the unconditional support of his sister. Rarely did you find Felix getting into adventures without Shannon. Partners in business and crime, Felix and Shannon did everything from opening an ice cream business (soon ended by a patron paying in 100 pennies), to hiking up cliffs that were clearly marked off with police tape. Their mother didn’t always agree with their adventures, but they all lived in support of each other. A theme that carried on into their relationship with their cousins, Lyneal, Sharlyn, and Chris, and whenever a plan was devised, within seconds Felix would be committed to the cause. Felix had a deep interest and love for all sports. Between the Dolphins and the Panthers, he chose Carolina and cheered for them all the way to Superbowl 38 in February 2004. He has been a devoted fan of the Carolina Panthers ever since. Having a naturally strong build, Felix was a talented athlete and growing up, he was always playing football or basketball around the neighborhood. During his teenage years, Felix attended Gwynn Park HS where he played football as well. Besides being an athlete, he continued his entrepreneurial efforts in high school, confounding school administrators who were not sure whether or not to punish the young man who showed much ingenuity by selling snacks at a cheaper rate than the school’s vending machines. After high school, Felix went on to pursue a few different occupations, trying to find something that spoke to who he truly was. Once, he decided to try an accelerated EMT course, where he dedicated 6 weeks to an intense program that had a low passing rate and ended up graduating with flying colors. Eventually, he would find his niche in pipeline construction, eventually landing an operator position with Miller Pipeline, a reputable construction and repair contractor company located in the DMV area. Always the family man, Felix would rarely ever miss a family gathering and could always be counted on to find the humor in almost any situation. On May 14th, 2015, Felix was overjoyed at becoming a father for the first time with the birth of his daughter Niylah Lavone Luaren Adams and was equally excited to welcome into the world his second daughter Ivy Ava Lynette Adams on June 23rd, 2016. His girls were his world, and he took great pleasure in being a doting father. Felix always lived life with commitment and passion. Whenever he set his mind to something, he accomplished it with his whole being. Felix will be remembered as a loving son, caring big brother, devoted father, great friend, and generous soul. His memory will forever be cherished by his mother, Ava Hagood (Step Father – Lance Hagood), father, Felix Adams Jr., daughters Niylah and Ivy Adams (mother - Chanell Wilson), sister, Shannon Adams, brothers, Jackson Hagood, and Haylon Adams, grandmother, Jean London Page, aunts, Sheron Boyd, Margot Jones, Yonette Ifill, Petal Moses, Terisha Adams, Palesa Adams, Anika Adams, uncles, Roy “Rickie” Moses, Pete London, Patrice McRae, Robert Adams (Deceased), Renick Adams, Shavine Adams, Steven Adams (Deceased) and numerous cousins, loved ones, and friends.
