Florence W. Fitzpatrick

Wonderful Homemaker Florence Fitzpatrick passed away on July 20, 2021 at the age of 85 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on Christmas day 1935 to the late John, and Florence Yoder Harvey of Mariana, Pennsylvania. Florence’s love of life didn’t end with her death. The simplest pleasures of life brought great joy to her. She loved tending her gardens, and re-planting black eyed Susan‘s even though she knew in advance that the local wildlife would enjoy their tasty blooms each year. She had a passion for people in general, and lent a helping hand to many. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. She had an uncanny way of finding happiness in daily activities. She spent 20 years of her life traveling too many destinations including Puerto Rico with her husband Joseph during his career in the Navy. She had endless stories about the beautiful scenery during her travels, and her love for her navy wife group. She is survived by her husband Joseph E. Fitzpatrick, daughter Theresa Waldron, son Joseph E. FitzPatrick, Jr.(Gina), granddaughter Janice Wallace(Brad), grandson Joseph Edwin FitzPatrick (Katie), grandson Zachery Fitzpatrick. Great granddaughter Elizabeth Wallace, great grandson David Wallace, great granddaughter Christina Wallace. Sister BerthaDale Best, Sister Patty Hendrick, many more nieces and nephews whom she loved so much. The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1601 West Mount Harmony Road, Owings, MD 20736.
