Florence "Linda" Lynch

Florence Linda Lynch beloved wife of the late Joseph Edward (Kelly) Lynch. Cherished mother of Kathleen Mann (Mark), Tina Lynch (Safreed), and Kelly McCarley (Scott) all of Owings, MD. Adored grandmother of Kylie McCarley, Cody McCarley, Holly Mann, Garrett Safreed, Logan Safreed and the late Rion Safreed and Heath Safreed. Dear sister of Br. Thomas Combs, C.S.C. and the late Deacon Richard Combs (Yuki) and John Combs (Shirley). Preceded in death by her parents John Combs and Christina (Kowalski) Combs. Linda grew up in Washington, D.C. and loved to reminisce about her days playing in the reflection pool and all around the monuments. She loved sitting by the Bay/Ocean with the seagulls, listening to the waves and watching the clouds. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren who used her revolving door at her house daily! She considered her greatest accomplishment raising her three daughters whom she loved dearly. She could often be heard telling people about living on “her farm”. Linda passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021 holding her daughters hands surrounded in love. She had a strong faith in God and lived the Catholic life to the fullest! The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 8816 Chesapeake Avenue, North Beach, MD 20714 on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735. Donations may be made in Linda’s name to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. NEW GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING VISITATION / SERVICES. - 50 to 75 people max at any given time in Funeral Home. - Limit visitation to 15 minutes in visitation room to allow for others to express their condolences. - Funeral Services in Chapel limited to 70 people with four (4) people per pew. - Masks and six foot social distancing still applies.
