Jamal E. Braddy

September 11, 1983 — October 23, 2021

Jamal Elisha Braddy was born September 11, 1983 in Washington DC. Jamal attended Oxon Hill HS, and was a licensed Barber for over 20 years. Jamal E. Braddy also known as “Jamal Da Barber” started in the field of barbering after he graduated from Oxon Hill H.S. class of 2001. He quickly decided that being a barber was what he wanted to do and how he wanted to serve. He started servicing the Prince George’s County community and transitioned into a mobile barber reaching people within the DMV area. Jamal’s delivery of service was very unique- as he kept all of his customers in prayer and treated them with kindness and respect while in his care. Jamal was a man who often showed love to his loved ones, he was a social being but a man of very few words. He loved being around family and friends. He was an encourager and unofficial mentor to those who didn’t have much. Most of all his smile was electric! His presence would light up any room or space he occupied! Jamal was a man of concern and prayer was the tool he used to reach those he may not have been able to help long term. On Oct. 23rd 2021 Jamal E. Braddy was in a fatal car accident on his way to his part-time job located in Washington DC. Jamal was taken to GW Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and departed from this world suddenly. Before leaving this earth, he dreamed about attending film school in Los Angeles CA., put down roots in his goal of having a clothing line named “Jesuir”, and most importantly he desired to bring children into this world with the support of a loving wife. Jamal was a man of vision and he never ran short on creativity. His life was cut short but, his time spent on this earth had great impact. He will be deeply missed by his Mother, Father, Sister, Family, Friends and Clients as he was a man who showed deep affection for his loved ones. Jamal Braddy was 38 years of age and he is survived by his mother (Shirley Braddy), father (Ernest L. Braddy), sister (Cheryl Braddy), a close circle of cousins, aunts, friends, and barbering clients. He was preceded by his biological Father (Amos Faulker), Aunt (Pauline Jackson), Uncle (Paul Haynesworth) & Aunt (Pearline Haynesworth). Jamal E. Braddy will be missed and his light will continue to shine in the hearts of his loved ones. We know and are assured that Jamal is resting with God and we as a family release your soul into God's arms to rest in eternal peace. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Jamal E.
