James Calvin Brock

James Calvin Brock, 69, husband of Susan M. Brock passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020, in Temple Hills, MD. Born in Seneca, South Carolina, to the late James Melvin and Mignonette (Midge) Pickens Brock. Calvin was associated with Kynect and was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church in Seneca, SC and attended Cross Point Church in Clemson, SC. Calvin was a 1971 graduate of South Carolina School for the Deaf in Spartanburg, SC where he excelled in football and track. He was a member of the South Carolina School of Deaf Alumni Association, serving as Treasurer and Board member. Calvin was inducted in 2004 to the Hall of Fame for a track by the South Carolina School for the Deaf. He was also a member of SCAD where he served as a Board Member. Calvin was an "All In" Clemson Tiger Fan. In addition to his wife Susan, Calvin is survived by his son, James R. Brock (Brittany) of Seneca, SC. Sister, Joyce Puett (Ken) of Anderson, SC. Step-children: Jamie Fitzpatrick of Williamsburg, VA, Paul Fitzpatrick III of Frederick, MD, Georginia Fitzpatrick of Temple Hills, MD, Thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. Calvin loved life, travel and he enjoyed his life to the fullest with no regrets. He had an amazing welcome home party waiting for him. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
