James "Tom" Thomas Price

James Thomas Price (Tom) passed away December 3, 2019, following a courageous two year battle with metastatic colorectal cancer at the age of 72. He passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born in Washington DC, he was the son of the late Henry T. Price and Kathryn Daugharty and was raised in Suitland, MD by the late Bob and Betty Gaither. He was a devoted husband, father & grandfather, who truly enjoyed his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his passion for sports (Washington Redskins) and his love for working in his yard. Tom retired as a Foreman from Pepco Electric Company in 2002 after more than 30 years of service. Tom’s memory will live on through his wife, Marilyn K. Price, four children, son Daryl Price (Valerie), son Michael Price (Stephanie), daughter Amanda O’Dell (Jesse), son Darryl Kingman (Brianna), and his three grandchildren; Landon J. O’Dell, Gracyn C. O’Dell and Carson J. Kingman, along with numerous relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 11:00 AM to the start of the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Lee Funeral Home Calvert 8200 Jennifer Lane Owings, MD 20736. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Tom’s name to Calvert Hospice P.O. Box 838 Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
