John Roger Sansbury, Jr.

John "Johnny" Sansbury, Jr., 76, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 7, 2018 with his family by his side. John was the beloved husband of Shelly Sansbury and father of Greg Sansbury (Lorrie), Sherri Cotton (Donnie), Dianna Morgan (Orville), Christina Weisbord (Scott), and John "Jackie" Sansbury III. John is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. John was a firefighter for the P.G. Fire Department for 22 years, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant, and served as President of the P.G. County Fire Department Union Local 1619. He was also a lifetime member of the Forestville Volunteer Fire Department. John was an avid hunter and charter boat captain, who also loved fishing and golf. A Fire Department Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm.
