Jon "Jack" Gordon Johnson, Sr.

Jon G. “Jack” Johnson, Sr., of Santee, SC, formerly of Huntingtown, MD, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, in Edgewater, MD, at the age of 80. Jack was born in Washington, DC, on June 7, 1937 to Ruby Ann and Edwin Nathan Johnson. In 1992, Jack retired from Prince Georges County as a Roads Engineer with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed playing golf, going crabbing, playing poker, going to the track and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed all of these, but spending time with his family was most important to Jack. The memories spent with his family were priceless. Jack was the beloved husband of Jacquelyn “Jackie” [Lewis] Johnson for over 58 years. He was the loving father of Kathy Lagiewski (John) and Jon G. Johnson, Jr. (Gene Parks). He was the devoted grandfather of Candace Parks and Krista O’Donnell and the great-grandfather of Andrew and Aryanna Owens. He is also survived by his brother – Robert Johnson (Mary), sister-in-law – Mary Johnson and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.
