Keyana Lenelle Epps

November 23, 1971 — April 19, 2021

Keyana began her career in the federal government at the Library of Congress in 1988, while attending Potomac High School in Oxon Hill, MD. Throughout her 30 plus years of federal service, she also worked for the U.S. Secret Service, Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and AmeriCorps. During her federal career she worked in various positions in the Finance/Accounting field, which she loved. She built and fostered relationships with a number of her co-workers with whom she shared many exciting adventures. While working full-time she attended Strayer University to enhance her skills in the Finance/Accounting field and to continue her education. Keyana's real passion in life were her boys and granddaughters. She loved her family with all her heart and really spoiled her granddaughters to no end. She always took them to parks, the zoo, and trips out of state to visit their cousins in Georgia and North Carolina. She also enjoyed taking them to the beach, and any place else she felt they would like, while getting them anything they wanted, of course. She also loved to cook for them outdoors during the summer months. Those left to cherish Keyana's memory include her father, Robert Epps of Clinton, Maryland; two sons, Robert and DeAndre Epps of Waldorf and Ft. Washington, Maryland; two granddaughters, D'onnie Monae and London Amor Epps; grandfather, Sgt. Henry Brewton, Jr., U.S. Army (Retired) of Hinesville, GA; aunts, Mattie (Thomas) Marshall of Waldorf, Maryland and Margarett (Lee) Sneed of Ft. Washington, Maryland, Lena Bullock of Rocky Mount NC, Yvonne Johnson of Rocky Mount NC, her uncles Efon Epps of Rocky Mount NC, Willie Epps of Deleware and Jessie Epps of Charlotte NC and a host of cousins, extended family members, and friends who will surely miss her. Keyana was preceded in death by her mother, Lillis Epps, who she lost in 2018. https://youtu.be/Tmnqqdv4hls To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Keyana Lenelle Epps please visit our Sympathy Store.
