LeNora Harris

LeNora Ann Dowdell Harris was born January 2, 1933 to Lacey Whiteside and Annie Laura Dowdell Carter in Fairfield, Alabama. She was the youngest of two children. LeNora graduated from Fairfield Industrial High School and achieved two advanced degrees in education. She would commit to her faith early in life and was active in First Baptist Church until she moved away. LeNora met James Harris while still in high school. They would date until she graduated from college. After she married she had three children one deceased. She and James would pursue a life that involved travel, work and children. Even though her life was busy she would find time to pursue her passions which included music, gardening and sewing. She departed this life on August 10, 2018. Celebrating her life are her children, Melanie and Tay and brother-in-law, Robert Harris and many family and friends.
