Margaret Ella Figert

Margaret Ella a.k.a Jean Marie Thomas Figert, forever known as Jeannie was born in the District of Columbia on 06/16/1939 to Margaret and Richard Thomas. She attended Catholic schools in Washington. In 1957 she was married to Donald Martin Figert, Jr. who pre-deceased her in 2002. Together they produced five children, four born in the District and the fifth in Tennessee where they had relocated in 1964. In 1969 the family returned to the DC settling in Wheaton, MD and ultimately Clinton, MD. In addition to her husband, Jeannie was pre-deceased by her oldest child Donald Martin III. She is survived by four children, James Edward, Jean Marie (Doug) Wynkoop, Richard Joseph (Sydney) Figert and Robert William (Vicki) Figert along with seven grand-children and four great grand-children. She died on June 8, 2020 and will be buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Washington, DC on June 12. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any charitable organization providing aid to the less fortunate among us.
