Ronald A. Sanders

Ronald A. Sanders was born May 12, 1957 to the late Robert Sanders and Ida Mae Sanders in Smithfield, North Carolina. At the age of five, he and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York where he earned his education and become a licensed hair stylist. Additionally, at the age of 22, he raised his sister Deandria after the unfortunate death of their mom. Just like a single dad, he cooked, cleaned and comb her hair to send her off to school looking dapper. Ron was a dedicated worker as a CBRE Contractor for Booz Allen Hamilton. He was always the life of the party. He loved to dance, laugh and spending time with family and friends. He was very comical. If you wanted a good meal, and an overall good time, stop by Ron’s. He was just a loving person who loved his family and made sure everyone was entertained. After 61 years, he moved on to glory in La Plata, MD. He leaves to mourn sisters, Deandria Hayslett-Cumberbatch and Robin Sanders; his brothers, Jake and Darren Sanders; brother-in-law, Lawrence Cumberbatch; nephews, Jamie and Jamari Cumberbatch, Darren and Kendrick Sanders, and Vanus McManus; and nieces, Andrea and Kaila Sanders, Vanessa, Kailey Ny’Lah and Kaydance McManus. He also leaves, his very close cousins Shonzie and Daryl Johnston (whom he called sister and brother); and his aunts Shirley Vines and Helen Sanders whom he cherished so dearly just like moms. I wish with all my heart That you were here with me, And we could share the laughter That there always used to be. I know we’ll meet again In another life elsewhere, And those very special times We once again will share.
