Stanley Harris

Stanley Harris, 81, of Lusby, MD formerly of Davidsonville and Mitchellville MD passed on Thursday December 20, 2018. Born in Swope, VA he was a son of the late Harry Benjamin and Edie Myrtle (Kelly) Harris. He was married to Rose Marie (LaFourcade) Harris. Stanley retired after thirty years of employment with the Prince George's County Department of Public Works as a road crew supervisor. He then had a second career with ten years of service at the construction firm Associated Builders of Hyattsville, MD. Stanley enjoyed racoon, squirrel, rabbit, and deer hunting; watching baseball games and boxing matches; and throwing back a few beverages with family and friends. along with his wife he is survived by sons Stanley D. Harris Sr. of Lusby, MD; Michael O'Brian Harris of Lothian, MD; Charles R. Harris of Lusby, MD; Jeffrey Allen Harris Sr. of Davidsonville, MD; and Ronald Wayne Harris of Stevensville, MD. Stanley was the father-in-law to Julie L. Harris (McQuinn); Karen L. Harris (Ridgely); Sharon A. Harris (Sturgess); Misty Harris (Albright) and Mary M. Harris (Carrick). Stanley was a grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. We will all miss him but we will never forget the love and guidance he gave us as long as we have our memories of him. The Harris family are thankful to the many first responders that assisted our family throughout the years.
