Stephen J. Karahalis

Stephen J. Karahalis passed on August 29, 2019 at the age of 87. He was born on December 26, 1931 to the late John and Athanasia Karahalias. Steve married his high school sweetheart Olga and they enjoyed 67 years together. Steve was proud of his four daughters, their husbands and his grandchildren. Steve is survived by his wife Olga, daughters Stephanie Fulk (Brad), Anna Grow (Randy), Nicolette Kirby (Keith) and Christina Chiriaco (James), grandchildren David, Jessica (Darwin), Kyle, Ashley and Stephen and his brother Nicholas Karahalias (Marian) and many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his sister Demetra Daniels. Steve joined the Air Force and proudly served for 20 years. His military service included the Honor Guard, the Military Police and Club Management. Steve grew up in the Bronx, New York and the Air Force sent him and his family to Turkey, Greece, upstate New York and the Washington DC area. He was proud of his Greek heritage and was an active member of St. Theodore Greek Orthodox Church. He worked the Greek festivals, including managing the bar. He enjoyed gardening, the beach, crafts and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
