Vaughn Garner

Mr. Vaughn "Curt" Garner, 70, of Morningside, MD passed away Monday, September 21, 2020. Born January 27, 1950 in Washington, DC, Curt was the son of the late Ernest Winfield Garner and Ruby Trueman Garner. Curt worked as a library technician at the Library of Congress as well as a bartender at the Knights of Columbus #4706. He loved telling jokes, rescuing feral cats, reading books, and playing the slots. Preceding him in death was his uncle, R. Paul Trueman. Surviving are his wife Beth Sharpe Garner, his brother Daniel R. Garner(Sylvie) of Virginia, stepdaughter Melissa Noel Kiernan (Brian) of Mechanicsville, MD; 3 grandchildren Bradyn, Regan, and Paxton of Mechanicsville, MD; as well as aunts and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Humane Rescue Alliance at 71 Olgethrope Street, NW, Washington, DC 20011.
