Alve Dean Head, son of the late James and Levana Head was born on December 15th, 1935 in Springfield. Tennessee. He died peacefully March 4th, 2026.
Alve Dean was educated in the Robertson County Springfield Public Schools graduating from Bransford High School. He also attended Tennessee State University receiving a Bachelor’s Degree.
Alve Dean enlisted in the United States Air Force February 1956. He was a Master Sargent. He was presented with the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. He retired from the Air Force April 1st, 1984 after many years of dedicated service.
On March 13th, 1960 Alve Dean married the love of his life Emma Almeda Gay in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. From that union they were blessed with a son Alan Head.
Alve Dean loved spreading the gospel through his Truck driving ministry called Travelers Companion. He was a diligent soldier for the Lord with his E Bible Fellowship Community.
Alve Dean was preceded in death by his parents James and Levana Head, siblings John Billy Head, Joe Louis Head, Georgia Ann Chatman, William T. Head, Charlie Mae Motley, Robert L. Head, Georgia Mae Gardner, Arthur Head, John R. Head, Florence Hillard, Paul Head and Margaret Beamer.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, wife Emma Almeda and son Alan Head. His siblings, James (Rosa) Head, Elizabeth (James) Chapman, Eva McClain, Frank Head and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
