Anna (Palmieri) Curtin was born on October 11, 1929 in Washington, D.C. to Mario Palmieri and Menza J. Carena. Predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Edward (Eddie) Curtin. Anna grew up in the Foggy Bottom area of the city with her mother, younger sister and many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins. Anna attended St. Patrick’s Academy, graduating in 1948. Anna met Eddie at a Bunny Hop dance at St. Francis Xavier Church and their lives would be forever bound. They married on April 15, 1950. They began their family in Washington D.C., but eventually moved to Upper Marlboro, MD in 1969. Anna was a homemaker devoted to her family. She did everything in her power to make the lives of her children and grandchildren the best they could be. She loved shopping for the perfect gifts for each member of her family and cooking huge meals for them. The holidays with Mom/ Grandma will always be remembered. Anna was the devoted mother of Stephen Curtin of Alexandria, VA, Eugene Curtin (Pam) of Ruckersville, VA, David Curtin of Arlington, VA, Brian Curtin (Gayane) of Boca Raton, FL and Laura Babin (Francis) of Mount Airy, MD; dearest Grandma of Shawn Curtin, Paul Curtin (Amy), Kelly Erickson (Pierce), Alexis Curtin, Thomas Curtin, Simon Babin, Rachael Curtin, William Babin (Shannon), Ani Curtin and Davit Curtin. She was also the proud Great-Grandma to Brock Curtin and Hunter Curtin. Anna was very fortunate to have many nieces, nephews and cousins she loved and whom loved her in return. In addition to her parents, and husband, Anna was pre-deceased by her sister Ann Ines.
