Anthony Edward Sigmon, a loving father, son, brother, and nephew, was born on December 16, 1970, in Washington, D.C., to the late Anthony Sigmon and Patricia Peters. He was a proud product of D.C. Public Schools and later chose a path of service by enlisting in the United States Navy, where he carried himself with honor and dedication.

Anthony later pursued one of his greatest passions--cooking. He attended the Culinary Institute of Virginia, where he excelled and earned recognition as the top chef in his class. His food brought people together, and everyone who tasted his cooking knew they were experiencing something crafted with skill, heart, and joy.

During his early adult years, Anthony became the devoted father of three beautiful children while married to Jessie Sigmon. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and being a father remained one of his greatest joys.

As life unfolded, Anthony found love again when he met Royden Rodgers, the partner who brought renewed happiness and companionship into his life. Anthony also embraced Royden's son, Lance Rodgers, as his own. Through this union, he gained a special bond with her parents, Brenda and Willie Hoskins Jr., and together they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering support. They spent their years creating memories, sharing dreams, and standing by one another through every season of life.

Throughout his career, Anthony made a lasting impact in the culinary world. He served as an Executive Chef at several well-known venues through the DMV area, including the Gaylord National Harbor, Spirit of Washington, TapMGM, Nationals Park, Capital One Arena, Audi Field, and, most recently, with Metz Culinary at the Brookings Institute.

Anthony's journey was one marked by love-- love for his family, love for his craft, and love for the people fortunate enough to know him. His presence brought comfort, his humor brought joy, and his generous spirit touched everyone around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his strength, and the way he made every room brighter simply by being in it.

Anthony leaves behind to cherish his memory: His best friend Jessie Sigmon, his children Anniana, Maya, and Anthony II; his goddaughter Jewell Formey; his loving partner Royden Rodgers (and Lance); his brother Jermaine (Felechia); his uncles Carleton (Jackie), and Andre; his aunts Yvonne (Rick), Annette, and Gloria; nephews Jeremy, Jerjuan, Jonte, and Jason; niece Jasmine; cousins Erica (Rashad), Xavier, Stephanie, Krystal, Derrick, Davetta, Tiffany, Davida, Keisha; and a host of other family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever hold him in their hearts.
