With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Arthur Phillip Ahwah on November 21, 2024, in Clinton, Maryland, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 11, 1949, in Georgetown, Guyana, Phillip was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Phillip’s life was defined by love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to family and community. He built a successful career in advertising and sales, both in Guyana and later in the U.S., where he earned numerous accolades for his work with Herr’s. Known for his warmth and humor, Phillip was always ready with a joke, advice, or a helping hand.
Phillip is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Barbara; his cherished daughters Candice, Chantal, and Samantha; their husbands Juan, McKinley, and Adrian; and his adored grandchildren Ruby, Leo, and Nyla. He is also survived by his devoted sisters Audrey, Elizabeth, and Charlotte; his beloved nieces and nephews; his aunts Norma, Rita, Barbara, and Marie, who held a special place in his heart; as well as many other family members who loved him deeply
Phillip’s legacy of love, humor, and kindness will forever inspire those who knew him. Rest in peace, Phillip. You are deeply misse
