August Lamar Mueller passed away on Sunday June 9, 2024 at 8:15 pm from injuries sustained during a car crash. He was born on January 22, 1964, in Cheverly Maryland at Prince George’s Hospital. Known as Gus, he graduated from Gwynn Park High School in 1982. Since graduating from high school, he worked in the field of plant operation, maintenance, and carpentry for a variety of different corporations. Gus had a natural extremely rare gift in art. He created many beautiful drawings, paintings, and life size action figures. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hiking, photography, and loved traveling in the Midwest. He married the love of his life on August 23, 2012, Sandra Lorena Ticas. Together they loved traveling and building their home together in Waldorf, MD. Gus believed in doing a good deed every day and loved helping people around him and spending time with his friends. Gus was passionate about comic books and collecting action figures including superheroes and G.I. Joe’s. Gus is survived by his wife Sandra, his mother Lula Mae (Tan), his older brother Les, his older sister Tammy, his nephew Joshua, his niece Allison, and niece Brittany. A private ceremony to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnels to Towers.
