It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Bottazzi, who peacefully left us on May 20, 2025, at the age of 86. Born in Washington, DC, Barbara spent her life as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she touched the lives of all who knew her.

Barbara was known for her nurturing spirit and her deep love for animals, especially her loyal dogs, who brought her immense joy throughout her life. Her inquisitive nature led her to delight in playing computer games and watching game shows, activities that brought smiles and laughter to her family. She was not only a loving family member but also a savvy bargain guru, known for her uncanny ability to find treasures at fantastic prices.

Barbara devoted many years to her career in the administrative sector of the federal government, where her dedication and hard work made a significant impact. She faced challenges with unwavering grace and always managed to find joy in the simplest of moments.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Ellis; her grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob, and Marc Regier (Katie); along with her adored great-grandchildren, Chloe, Caleb, Camilla, and Christian Regier. Her loving adopted family Lori Heider and Jeffrey Reed. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Bottazzi, both of her parents Dolan Heflin, Elsie Heflin, her daughter Debra McElroy and son Joseph Bottazzi.

The family will hold a memorial service to honor her life on Friday June 06, 2025 at Southern Memorial Gardens 10155 Ward Road, Dunkirk, MD 20754 at 1:30 pm. Friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate the remarkable life of Barbara Ann Bottazzi, a woman whose love and laughter will forever resonate in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children and Wounded Warrior reflecting Barbara's profound love for anyone and everyone. Her gentle spirit and warm smile will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
