Barbara Marie Suite Webster

October 1, 1948 — April 18, 2026

Barbara Marie Suite was born on October 1, 1948, in Washington, D.C., to Norris James Suite and Marguerite Cecilia Hall-Suite.

Barbara was the apple of her father's eye, cherished as his beautiful little girl. Although her parents moved the family to Washington, D.C., for greater opportunities, their roots remained in St. Mary's County, Maryland. Nearly every Sunday was spent traveling back home to visit family.

Raised with a strong religious foundation, Barbara attended St. Teresa's School in Southeast Washington, D.C. She later attended La Reine High School in Prince George's County and was part of the first graduating class of Crossland High School in Temple Hills, Maryland.

Barbara began her professional career with the U.S. Government as a Budget Analyst for the Voice of America. After taking early retirement, Barbara returned to work as a government contractor at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, where she dedicated another ten years before retiring in her early 60s. Barbara was known for her kindness, generosity, and bubbly personality, always willing to help others. Barbara had a special love for animals, especially her beloved dogs.

Barbara adored her niece, Jenna ("Jen Jen"), and treasured every moment they spent together. The two shared a special bond-Barbara was even her Godmother. She loved the beach, animals, and shopping, especially shopping! Never one to be frugal, if she found something she liked, she often bought it in every color.

Like her mother, Barbara always presented herself beautifully, dressed to the nines wherever she went. The two shared many special moments through vacations, outings, road trips, and family gatherings. After the passing of her husband, their bond grew even stronger as they navigated life side by side.

Barbara was a joyful presence, loved deeply by her family, friends, and colleagues. She entered every room with a smile and left everyone feeling the same way. She loved dancing to Motown music and listening to the Eagles and Bob Seger. Her favorite song was Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight," especially when her brother would play it on his guitar. When that song plays, he will always think of her.

Barbara was survived by her mother Marguerite Suite, brother Robert Suite, sister-in law Terry Suite, of Dunkirk Maryland. Her niece Jenna Beeson and husband Michael, children Sophia and Kinsley Beeson of Huntingtown Maryland.

Barbara-Barb, Barbie, Bub, Sistergirl-will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts and prayers. She is now reunited with her father, her husband, her cherished family members, and all her beloved fur babies.

Until we meet again... Love you, bye.

Barbara will be remembered and celebrated on May 2 at Lee Funeral Home Calvert located at 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 from 1:30 to 3:00 followed by a service in the chapel. A repass will be held in Dunkirk following the service.
