Betty Lee Moore, loving wife, mother, grandmother passed from this life at the age of 92 on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, Charlotte Hall Md.

Betty was born on July 14, 1931, in Albert WV, to Olie and Gladys Carr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John, and her brothers Charles, Donnie, and Gerald and sisters Dolores and Joyce.

Betty is survived by her four sons: Donnie (Nancy) Moore of WV, John (Faye) Moore of SC, Robert Moore of NC, and Kenny (Tina) Moore of MD. One sister Evelyn Armentrout of MD and a brother David (Carol) Carr of MD. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved life and enjoyed having family and friends in their home.

She worked for the telephone company in Washington DC where she met her husband and was married in Red House MD on January 6, 1954. They traveled across the United States and Europe since John was active-duty Air Force. They settled in MD in 1972, where Betty started working for the Federal Government. She retired in 1997 from Andrews Air Force Base.

Viewing and funeral services will be at Lee Funeral Home in Clinton Maryland on May 26th, 2024. Viewing 11am – 1pm with services starting at 1pm. Betty will be interned at a later date with her husband John, at Arlington National Cemetery.
