Bill Ferrence

William E. Ferrence “Bill”, of Brandywine, MD passed on Nov. 30, 2016. Born in Alvon, West Virginia, the son of Hallie Mae & Russell Ervin Ferrence. Bill’s growing up years were focused in White Sulpher, WV. He graduated high school in 1956. While down the road, a few farms away lived Gertie Ramsey. Their courtship led to an eventual marriage on July 2, 1960. They moved to the Prince George’s county area in 1962 to start a family and a business. Their only child, a son, Greg, was born in 1964. Bill was business minded and opened his own company in 1968, A & F Equipment Rental & Construction Company. In addition to his family, Bill loved riding his motorcycle, enjoyed hunting. Bill also enjoyed talking to people and making many new friends. He was a man of deep faith as a long-standing member of Oxon Hill United Methodist Church. Beloved husband of Gertie Ferrence of Brandywine, MD; Devoted father of Greg Ferrence and his wife Stacie of Brandywine, MD; Loving grandfather of Dustin, Cody & Jason Ferrence; Dear brother of Barbara Burgess of Haymarket, VA & Terri Jordan and her husband Rodney of Lewisburg, WV.
