Brian Daniell Newman

February 10, 1972 — March 5, 2026

Brian Daniell Newman passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 5, 2026. He was born in Washington, D.C., to Mary Josephine Newman and Joseph Daniel Newman.

Brian was raised in a close-knit family and received a Catholic education from kindergarten through 12th grade. He graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School in 1990, an experience that helped shape his strong values, discipline, and lifelong friendships. He later attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

Throughout his professional life, Brian built a respected career in the asphalt and aggregate industry, serving as a Quality Control Manager for several competitive companies. He was known among colleagues for his knowledge, dedication to his craft, and commitment to maintaining high standards in his work.

Above all, Brian’s greatest pride and joy was his son, Nathaniel “Nate” Newman. Brian’s love for Nate was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent supporting and guiding him.

Brian will be remembered for his loyalty to family, his steady work ethic, and the many friendships he formed throughout his life. His presence, kindness, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved son, Nathaniel “Nate” Newman; his mother, Mary J. Newman; his sister, Brianna Newman; and a host of immediate family members and friends who will continue to honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Nathaniel D. Newman Continuing Education Fund in honor of Brian’s lasting commitment to his son’s future.

Brian’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

The service will be livestreamed on Facebook.
