Carolyn Ann Posten, of Upper Marlboro, died on July 8, 2016 at Inova Loudoun Hospital at the age of 76. She was born on January 5, 1940 in Brownton, West Virginia, to the late Ottman and Ada Goodwin. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Posten and loving mother of Greg, Mark, Lori, Tammy, and the late Joseph. She was the devoted grandmother of six grandchildren, Becky, Matthew, Kyle, Katie, Joey, and Morgan. She was the sister of Dorothy, Robert, and the late Rosalee and Nellie.
