Cecilia Denise Blye, affectionately known as CeCe, is the first-born child of Cecil A. Blye
and Alice Harris Blye. She was born Tuesday, April 20, 1954 in Richmond, VA. The family
eventually settled in Louisville, Kentucky, where CeCe excelled in school, resulting in her
matriculation to the “Ivy League”, earning her undergraduate degree in American Civilization at
Brown University in Providence, RI; and, her law degree at Columbia University Law School in
New York, NY. She enjoyed an illustrious career as an attorney for the Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC) in Washington D.C., and has lived in the D.C./Upper Marlboro, MD area for
the past forty plus years.
CeCe’s passion and joy was her relationship with Christ and serving Christ. Soon after beginning
her employment with the SEC she received Christ as her Lord and Savior, and she served him
with her whole heart. She was an ordained minister of the gospel and served in preaching and
teaching roles at Apostle H.J. Hines Ministries (under Apostle Hattie Hines) and Christ Kingdom
Church (under Bishop David Perrin). CeCe loved leading worship as a member of the
Praise/Worship Team at H.J. Hines Ministries and enjoyed a special relationship with Apostle
Hines, traveling to conferences, vacationing, or just going to the grocery store together. CeCe
was teaching/leading a Christ Kingdom Church “Season of Grace” women’s event at the time
she was stricken with illness.
CeCe leaves to mourn her passing her two brothers, Cecil (Viennese) Blye and Steven Blye, a
niece, England Blye, her aunt Grace Townes, Richard Rivera, a host of cousins, co-workers,
church members, neighbors and other friends.
