In Loving Memory of Cecilia Haley

Cecilia Haley, aged 91, of North Beach, MD, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Cecilia was born on March 5, 1935 in Dawson, Nebraska. She was a cherished daughter of John Julius and Mary Steinauer. She is pre-deceased by her siblings Theresa Ramold, John Steinauer, Henry Steinauer, Leonard Steinauer, Mary Jo Daigle, and Dorothy Jean Steinauer. Cecilia leaves behind her sister Katie Maderack.

Cecilia leaves behind her loving children Kathleen Buhrman, Mary Haley Amen, John Haley, Margaret DeCampo, Patricia Stueckler, and Cecilia Haley. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Monica Haley-Pierson.

Cecilia was the loving matriarch of 17 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Cecilia is remembered by her family for her love of music, sports, sewing, conversations and her steady example of Christ in this life. She was a beautiful role model of a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend. She gave of her time with generosity to all who knew her. She was a second mother to many of her children's friends. Our hearts break with grief and sadness that she is no longer with us here on Earth, but we know that she was taken gently to heaven in the hands of Christ.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St Anthony's Catholic Church, 8816 Chesapeake Avenue, North Beach, MD 20714 at 11am on Friday, May 1, 2026. A reception will follow the mass in the church hall. All family and friends are invited to share her celebration of life.
