Charles Stephens

Charles F. Stephens, affectionately known as Mr. Charlie, passed away at his home on November 29, 2025, surrounded by his beloved partner, Angela Consorti. Born on July 9, 1941, in Washington, DC, Charlie was a dedicated father, partner, and friend who made an indelible mark on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Charlie began his career at the young age of 21 when he founded his own HVAC business, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic. He not only excelled in his trade but also devoted time to teaching, sharing his knowledge with students eager to learn the intricacies of HVAC. His dedication to his profession was matched by his love for his family and friends, aspects of his life that he cherished deeply.

Family was everything to Mr. Charlie, and his proudest accomplishment was raising a loving family that included his sons Charles R. Stephens and Jerry Stephens, and his daughter Tamy Herber, as well as his devoted daughters-in-law Kimberly Stephens and Elizabeth Stephens and his son-in-law John Herber. He also shared his life with Angela Consorti, his cherished partner, along with his stepchildren, Linda Maria Consorti, Rosanna Consorti, and Giuseppe Consorti. An adoring grandfather, Mr. Charlie leaves behind ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward his legacy of love and connection.

Described as outgoing, funny, and always the center of attention, Mr. Charlie had a knack for making others laugh and telling captivating stories. Whether it was spending time hunting, fishing, or going to the casino, he reveled in the joy of creating lasting memories with his family. Sundays were often reserved for family dinners, where laughter and camaraderie filled the air, solidifying the bonds he held so dear.

Mr. Charlie's resilience was particularly noteworthy; he was a proud cancer survivor who approached life with optimism and an unwavering spirit. He will be remembered not just for his jovial personality but also for his willingness to help anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. Stephens and Lillian Stephens, as well as his brother Eddie Stephens and grandson Joseph G. Consorti. His absence leaves a significant void in the hearts of those he loved and touched throughout his life.

As we bid farewell to Mr. Charlie, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and the joy of family. His legacy will forever be etched in the memories of those he leaves behind.
