Charlie C. Walker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, minister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born on April 10, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, Charlie was the son of the late Charlie M. Walker and Alice T. Walker. Throughout his life, he embodied faith, wisdom, integrity, and a deep commitment to serving both God and others.

Charlie pursued higher education with determination and excellence, earning a Bachelor of Science in Management from Southern University and later a Master of Education from Boston University. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a distinguished professional career marked by leadership, dedication, and service.

He served honorably in positions with the Department of Defense and later with Winston & Strawn, where he was respected for his professionalism, insight, and unwavering work ethic. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Charlie's greatest calling was his ministry. As a Minister of the Gospel, he devoted his life to sharing God's Word, encouraging others in their faith, and serving his community with compassion and grace.

Charlie was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Juanita Walker, whose partnership and love enriched his life. He was a proud and loving father to Kim (Bill) Witherspoon, Charlie C. (Debrah) Walker II, Carl (Seshat) Walker, and Sandi (Craig) Morton. He was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Charlene Johnson, and brother Carl Walker.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Crystal, Effe, Candice, Nicholas, Charlie III, Sade, Phina, Danvi, Leah, Mikiah, Adrianna, and Christina. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, friends, colleagues, and fellow believers whose lives were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and steadfast faith.

Those who knew Charlie will remember his gentle spirit, strong character, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith. He led by example, offering guidance, encouragement, and love to all who crossed his path. His life was a testament to service, perseverance, and the enduring power of faith.

While his family mourns his passing, they also celebrate a life richly lived and a legacy that will continue through the generations he inspired. Charlie's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
