Christian Allen Wood

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christian Allen Wood, a beloved son, brother, friend, and passionate soul. Born on August 1, 2003, in Silver Spring, MD, Christian departed this life on September 8, 2026, due to complications from pancreatitis. He leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and adventure that will echo through the lives of all who knew him.

Christian was raised in the welcoming community of Huntingtown, MD, and graduated from Huntingtown High School in 2021. His dedication and skill led him to a promising career as an IT Infrastructure Installation Technician, where he excelled in setting up and testing intricate network systems, bringing his technical expertise to offices, schools, and data centers with passion and precision.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Diane Irzinski, and his uncle, William Wood. Christian is survived by his devoted parents, Craig and Elizabeth Wood; his brother, William “Eddie” Wood; his sister, Virginia Barnfield; along with a loving network of aunts, uncles, and many cherished family members and friends whose lives he profoundly touched.

Christian had a remarkable zest for life that shone brightly in his many passions. He adored all animals, with a special affection for his horses, and found sheer happiness in riding and showcasing them. Christian’s love for the beach was evident in his joy for long hikes with his dog, often culminating in peaceful moments by the water. He cherished sunrises over the Atlantic and relished quality time spent with his grandmother, sharing serene mornings together.

A connoisseur of food, Christian had an insatiable appetite for culinary delights, particularly crabs. His favorite meals often began with a sumptuous filet mignon topped with crab imperial, embodying his love for the seafood bounty of Calvert County.

His passion for music spanned genres, with a particular fondness for artists like Shinedown, Nickelback, Chris Stapleton, and Queen. Attending concerts ignited his spirit and allowed him to embrace the rhythms of life.

A fiercely loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan, Christian cherished the thrill of football and looked forward to a spectacular 2027 Super Bowl. His affection for history, particularly colonial and Revolutionary War history, saw him traveling extensively along the East Coast, exploring National Parks and museums, and delighting in gala events at iconic locations such as Colonial Williamsburg and Mount Vernon.

In celebration of Christian’s life, visitation will take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, located at 25 Church Street, Prince Frederick, MD 20678, on Tuesday, September 22nd at 1:00 PM, followed by a service honoring his memory at 2:00 PM. Refreshments will be served afterward, providing friends and family the opportunity to gather, reminisce, and celebrate the joy Christian brought into their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Linda Kelly Animal Shelter in Prince Frederick, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the Mount Vernon Ladies Association, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or any charity of choice, ensuring Christian's spirit of compassion continues to flourish.

Christian Allen Wood will be remembered not just for his time on this earth, but for the love and happiness he shared. His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
