Daniel Kidwell

June 7, 1957 — August 21, 2025

In the quiet town of Montross, Virginia, on August 21, 2025, Daniel Kidwell took his final breath, surrounded by the profound love of his wife. He was born on June 7, 1957, and from that moment forward, he embarked on a journey marked by unwavering dedication, a fierce love for nature, and cherished family bonds.

Daniel was a Retired Maintenance Supervisor with the Prince George's County School Board, a position that allowed him to shape and nurture the very environments in which young minds learned and grew. His commitment to service mirrored his devotion to those he held dear. He was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to solve problems with grace and efficiency, attributes that earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

Beyond his career, Daniel found solace and joy in the embrace of the great outdoors. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, often taking excursions that would bring him closer to nature and give him the thrill of adventure. His love for classic rock music filled the air around him, creating a backdrop of vigor and nostalgia that resonated deeply with his spirit.

Daniel leaves behind a tapestry of loving family members who were blessed to share in his journey. His devoted wife, Brenda Wines Kidwell, will carry his legacy in her heart. He proudly watched his daughter, Lisa Garner, flourish, and his grandson, Dakota Garner, will fondly remember the moments shared with his granddad. The bond that Daniel shared with his brother, Larry Kidwell, and sister-in-law Darlene, along with his sisters—Brenda Leizear, June Robinson, and her husband Flash, and Gail Kingman—will remain a guiding light, as will the cherished memories with nieces, nephews, and the loyal companionship of Bunkie the dog.

He is reunited in spirit with his departed son, Chubby Garner, and his parents, James and Christine Kidwell, who welcomed him with open arms. Their love will forever echo in the tales of his adventures and the kindness he spread throughout his life.

A time for reflection and remembrance will be held on August 27, 2025, at Lee Funeral Home, Inc. in Clinton, Maryland. Family and friends will gather to pay their respects during a viewing from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. and a burial at Resurrection Cemetery, where his spirit will become one with the earth he so dearly loved.

Daniel Kidwell's presence will be profoundly missed, yet his love and light will continue to shine through those he has left behind. He taught us to cherish each moment, revel in the beauty of the world around us, and to always hold our loved ones close.
