David Nelson Goldsmith

It is with great sadness that the family of David Nelson Goldsmith announces his passing on January 10, 2024 at the age of 73. 

David passed away peacefully at the MedStar Clinton Hospital and will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Ann Morris, Wayne Goldsmith, Mary Stone, Gloria Griffey, Thomas Goldsmith Sr, Nancy Mullen and by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents Mildred McIntosh Goldsmith and Vincent Ballenger Goldsmith Sr., his brothers Vincent B. Goldsmith Jr. and Michael A. Goldsmith Sr.

During David’s younger years he worked at gas/service stations.   He established a dedicated and long standing civil servant career with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) which he retired from.  He enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing, gardening, working on cars, cooking and being with family and friends. 

There will be an interment graveside funeral at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Rd, Clinton, MD 20735 at 11:00 on Monday, January 29, 2024.

A celebration of life luncheon will
follow at Mamma Lucia located at 10136 Southern Maryland Blvd, Dunkirk, Maryland 20754 immediately following the graveside service
