David Wayne Maxson

David Wayne Maxson, 67, of Joint Base Andrews, MD passed away November 24,
2022.
David was born 7 October 1955, in California to Robert J. and the late Shirley (Lassiter)
Maxson. He joined the Navy in 1973 and retired in 1994. David was a veteran of the
Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf War. After retiring from the Navy, David went on to
graduate from the University of Hilo. He then taught at Windward Community College,
until his retirement in 2021.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Maxson. He is survived by his wife,
Alicia Maxson (Bedoya); children, Carissa Maxson, Christopher Maxson, Christie
Maxson, and Cathryn Farrar (Sean). He is also survived by his father, Robert Maxson
Jr., his brother Robert Maxson III, and his sisters Cynthia Shepley, Theresa Ashley, and
Melissa Stutz. He had 7 grandchildren, David A., Kira, Zeidee, Arianny, Caitlin, Darien,
and Miaka, whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services and interment in Arlington National Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
