Edward Leeth

June 18, 1956 — May 8, 2025

Ever since I was young, I had a romantic dream. I would meet some incredible, handsome man who would knock me off my feet, and we would live happily ever after. We’d settle down somewhere quiet, a place near the beach. We’d would have a home filled with love, laughter and peace. As the years went by, I thought this dream would never come. Then one day, God brought you to me. When I looked into your eyes, you drifted out of my dreams and into my arms.

My beautiful Edward, you have been my friend, my companion and lover for life. All of the joy and expectations that life offered is in the touch of your hands in mine. Whether it was sitting down to one of our favorite meals of grilled salmon and brown rice, stewed lamb, sharing an evening walking in the park, or just taking our long distance weekend drive, each day with you was like the beginning of a new adventure filled with wonder and excitement!

I knew you’re the man God created just for me, the one in whose arms I realized the bond that exist when two souls come together. My darling, what an awesome responsibility you had to be the man God chose to be the guardian of my soul, and the keeper of all my hopes and dreams.

In the time that we spent together, you have been my joy and my strength. Therefore, I will celebrate your life today because we’re spiritually together, and celebrate tomorrow, because I look forward when I’m in your arms again with the man of my dreams.

This family gathering is almost over, this black dress will be put away, the rose petals and candles have been swept away, every night and every day I will honor you and cherish the day I met the man of my dreams.

Sleep in peace my darling, until we’re together again.

Lovingly your wife,

Amalia
