George Montgomery Trahan

Jan 17, 1953 — Aug 19, 2026

George Montgomery Trahan, 73, of Dunkirk, MD, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, after a brief but brave battle with pancreatic cancer. George is proceeded in death by his wife and love of his life, Marsha and survived by his five cherished daughters, Angela Turner (Richard), Catherine Walls (Andy), Elizabeth Taylor, Deborah Hudson (Jonathan), and Pamela Grubbs (Jasen) and eleven beloved grandchildren, Lauren Willey-Miller (Nate), Jennifer Walls, RJ Turner, Paige Payton (Logan), Sarah Walls, Christine Hudson, Ben Walls, Jesse Grubbs, Kevin Hudson, Sam Walls, and Michael Hudson, and five great-grandchildren, Liam, Lilah, Jace, Wyatt, Lennon.

George had an extensive career in carpentry, fencing, and decking. He was a man with high work ethics and loved creating things with his hands. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and pursuing his hobbies of bowling, hunting, and admiration of classic cars. He was a classic country fan and could make friends with anyone in a room. He also enjoyed playing bingo at the North Beach Senior Center in his later years and visiting with friends. He was a life-long avid fan of the Washington Commanders (Redskins) and the Baltimore Orioles.

As we reflect on the beauty of his life, let us take comfort in the love he shared and the light he brought to all around him and the immense love he bestowed upon his wife of fifty years and his “little girls”. He was truly the OG Girl Dad. George will forever be a part of our hearts and our lives.
