Gloria Ann Dockett, 79, of Waldorf, Maryland, passed peacefully Friday, April 17, 2026. Gloria was born and raised in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, to the late Preston Harley and Mary Helen (Proctor) Harley November 18, 1946.
Gloria was educated in Prince George’s County Public Schools and graduated from Douglas High School. She started her career in the Federal Government as a secretary for General Services Administration and ended her career as a Lab Technician for the Drug Enforcement Administration, receiving numerous awards after 25+ years of dedicated service.
She married John W. Dockett in May of 1965 and had three sons, Dwayne Allen, Jeffrey Kevin, and John Christopher.
Gloria loved planting and growing flowers, collecting dining ware, playing mahjong on her phone, watching old westerns on tv with pop, and of course drinking Pepsi.
Gloria was preceded in death by her mother and father Mary Helen and Preston, her eldest son Dwayne, her sisters Elizabeth (Beth) and Sharon, and her brother Conrad (Connie).
Gloria is survived by her husband John W. Dockett, her sons Jeffrey Kevin, and John Christopher, her grandchildren Wesley, John Robert, Miranda, and Brodie, and her aunt Veronica Proctor (Lucille).
Family and friends are welcome to gather Monday, May 11th, 2026, at Lee Funeral Home, Clinton, from 10am-12pm with funeral services beginning at 12pm. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
