Hannon Wallace Davis Sr.

Hannon Wallace Davis, Sr. passed away on January 17th 2022 at Sitter and Barfoot Veterans Care Center in Richmond, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his father, Smiley Knight Davis mother, Wynell Clements Davis, sister Maxine and brothers Lyle and Smiley Jr. and his wife of 61 years, Viola Virginia Davis. He is survived by his 3 sons, Hannon W. Davis, Jr., Charles E Davis, Kenneth E Davis, 2 sisters, Violet and Hazel, brother Frank, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons. Born on 6/1/1925 in Oronoco Virginia, He graduated from Madison Heights high school and joined the Navy in 1943. Retired as YNC Chief Petty Officer in 1966 then retired in 1985 from Naval Defense Investigative service. His many activities included; assistant boy scout master, baseball coach, swimming, hunting, fishing, gardening, church usher, square dancing and motor cycle riding.
