Howard has 5 brothers, James Colbert, Michael Colbert, Larry Colbert , John Wayne Colbert and James "Hurley" Proctor; four sisters, Shirley Young- Parker, Darlene Satterwhite, Joanne Moseley, Ann Marie Sutton; six grandchildren Donte Carter, Clifton Simms, Teffy Dent, Tequaila Pace, Erin McCall, Kevin Simms, Jr. and 1 great-grandchild Samuari Pace.
