Isaac “Ike” Francis Greene was born September 29 th 1951 to the late Ethel (Mary) Clark and the late Rev.
Dr. Isaac Alston. Affectionately loved and raised by Ethel “Laffa” Clark and the late Earnest Clark in
Washington DC, Isaac Greene grew to become an effective retail manager and service representative.
He excelled at problem solving and will always be remembered for his cool, laid-back demeanor and his
passion for taking care of his family members and loved ones. “Ike” was a die-hard sports fan. He rooted
for local sports teams and enjoyed keeping up with all the news and updates regarding college and
professional athletic teams.
He also loved watching action and horror movies, a past time passed on to him from his mother. He had
an affinity for spending time with his beloved grandchildren, who he always spoke of fondly and never
hesitated to share that he was proud of. Ike worked hard to look after his siblings; Lester Greene and the
late M.J. “Reese” Greene. He did his best to share his wisdom and experiences with his family and loved
ones. Ike prided himself on his authentic friendships and his ability to overcome obstacles and hardships
to be a successful man, a loving husband, and a good father. Sadly, Isaac was preceded in death by his
first-born son, Daryl Greene.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife Tonya Harris-Greene; his brother Lester Greene; his
sons Anthony Greene, Antonio Powell (Qushonda Powell), and Patrick Thomas (Jameeka Queen); his
grandchildren Daryl Harrington, Devarshia Harrington, Michael Hines, Kayla Greene, Barbara Miller, Isis
Clark, and Amaya L. Powell; his great grandson Nirah Harrington; his niece Garlinda Greene; his aunt
Glorice Myles and a host of beloved cousins, extended family, and friends.
