Jason Randall Spoeri, 40, of Philadelphia, PA departed this life on April 3, 2025. He was a beloved son, grandson, half-brother, nephew, cousin and friend. His passing has left a profound sadness felt by family and friends. Jason was born in Annapolis, MD on December 18, 1984. He spent his early years in Maryland before moving with his family to Kentucky at age three. The family returned to Maryland after five years, where he continued his education. Jason was a graduate of Northern High School in Owings, MD.
Jason later moved to Philadelphia where he worked in customer service and inventory management in the retail industry. He forged meaningful connections and created lasting memories with co-workers and friends.
A talented guitarist, Jason’s love for music was a central part of his identity. He was also an enthusiastic fan of his favorite sports teams. Despite living in Philadelphia, he would proudly cheer for the Washington Commanders (Redskins) and the Baltimore Orioles. He also enjoyed the Philadelphia Flyers. Whether strumming his guitar or sharing the excitement of a game, Jason’s warmth and enthusiasm touched the lives of many.
Jason’s legacy is one of compassion and loyalty, deeply felt by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother Deborah Brown (Robert), his father Randall Spoeri (Laura), his half-sister Jennifer Spoeri (Kevin), and grandmother Jean Hammett Martin. He also shared a special bond with his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his stepmother’s family. They will hold his memory close.
Jason’s enduring spirit, kindness, and infectious sense of humor will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Family and friends will gather to honor his life and celebrate his spirit at a Mass of Christian Burial on May 9, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Jesus the Divine Word Catholic Church, 885 Cox Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jason’s memory may be given to the organization of the donor’s choice.
